I've been playing with ANIMOTO.com all day and made several videos to promote the Summer Reading Program. It's not perfect as it's tough to get some of the weird-shaped images to fit but it's better than anything else we've got (which is nothing at this point).

I recommend checking it out. It's fun to play around with and it's free for 30-second shorts.

ewww...there's some fantasy in with my sci-fi

It's amazing! I've been asked by several parents for some "realistic fiction" for their kids. All I can see is Fantasy. Whenever I scan the shelves looking for something a kid might like, all I see is Fantasy.

"Maybe you'd like Artemis Fowl?" I say. "What about Spiderwick?"

I start at A and browse, browse, browse...all I see is Fantasy.

So, when I was looking to put up a Science Fiction display, I was super annoyed. I thought, I want spaceships, lasers, different galaxies, aliens... but all I could see was Fantasy.

Color me annoyed.
